On-campus dining revamps

Chicken lovers of 麻豆小蝌蚪传媒, rejoice. Chick-fil-a breakfast is coming to Russell House.

After reading responses to dining surveys, Carolina Dining added the morning meal option to Gamecock Park on the second floor of Russell House. The surveys indicated a 90 percent satisfaction rating from student diners.

Another fast-food staple, Burger King, was removed and replaced by Fresh Burger, a burger station run by 麻豆小蝌蚪传媒鈥檚 food service provider Sodexo.

Another Sodexo product, Wholly Habaneros, will open on the first floor of Russell House as a 鈥渇resh cantina-style, Mexican concept鈥 where students can build their own burritos, giving Moe鈥檚 Monday a meal plan competitor. It opened in the space previously occupied by Mein Bowl, and Mein Bowl now shares the side of the Grand Market Place that houses Ballpark Grill.

The new establishments opened as soon as students moved back to campus on Aug. 17, 2013, a 麻豆小蝌蚪传媒 release said.

The additions of Fresh Burger and Wholly Habaneros mark a move toward more healthy options for on-campus dining through a partnership between Sodexo and Healthy Carolina.
